Welcome to the Information Website for the Torres, et al. v. SGE Management LLC Settlement

If You Signed Up to Be an Ignite Independent Associate (“IA”) Between January 1, 2005, and April 2, 2011, You May Be Eligible to receive a Payment or benefits from the Class Action Settlement.

A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit against Ignite and others regarding alleged violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (Torres, et al., plaintiffs v. SGE Management LLC, et al., defendants, Civil Action No. 4:09-CV-2056). Ignite denies the allegations. The Court has not decided who is right, and the Parties have settled their dispute.

Please read this website carefully—your rights may be affected by the Settlement as described below.


Your Legal Rights and Options in This Settlement
Participate in the Settlement

Stay in the Settlement Class and give up the right to sue the Defendants separately. You do not need to do anything to remain in the Settlement Class.

If you wish to participate in the Settlement and you wish to receive the Benefits Option described in FAQ 7, you do not need to do anything. If you wish to participate in the Settlement and elect the Cash Option described in FAQ 7, you must have completed the required Election Form by September 12, 2018. If you did not timely complete the Election Form, and did not opt out of the Settlement, you will be automatically enrolled in the Benefits Option. By participating in the Settlement, you give up any rights to sue the Defendants separately over the Released Claims, as described in FAQ 4.

Exclude Yourself

“Opt out” of the Settlement Class. Do not receive any benefit from the Settlement. Keep the right to sue the Defendants separately.

If you chose to exclude yourself from the Settlement Class (as explained below), you won’t share in any Settlement benefits. But, you will keep your rights to sue the Defendants. The deadline to exclude yourself was September 12, 2018.

Object to the Settlement

You may object to the Settlement, and you may request to appear at the Final Approval Hearing.

If you objected to the Settlement, you remain a member of the Settlement Class. The requirements to object to the Settlement are stated in FAQ 9. The deadline to object to the Settlement was September 17, 2018.

Do Nothing

If you do not wish to object to the Settlement or to submit an Election Form, you do not need to do anything.

If you do not timely complete the Election Form, and do not opt out of the Settlement, you will be automatically enrolled in the Benefits Option. You also give up any rights to sue the Defendants separately over the Released Claims, as described in FAQ 4.
